Biking has been growing in popularity for years, Sooke is a perfect place for all kinds of bikers from casual cyclists to die-hard mountain bikers. The natural climate of Sooke makes it a perfect place for biking anytime of the year, it rarely snows and when it does it never sticks around. Whether you want to cycle into our resort or just bring the bike with you, we have secure storage to ease the mind. All standard units have storage lockers in the driveway. Most of our cycling guests will bring a cable lock and secure the locks through the handles of the lockers and then through the bikes.
Cycling into Sooke
From Vancouver, hop on the Tsawwassan Ferry and head to the booth that is special for cyclists, they only charge an extra $2 to bring your bike on board. Get off the Ferry at Swartz Bay, as a cyclist you are given first-off privileges so you are not stuck in the traffic of the cars.
GALLOPING GOOSE TRAIL
Once off the Ferry, you begin on the Lochside Trail, a 29-kilometre multi-use trail, which connects to the Galloping Goose Trail. This 55-kilometre trail will take you right into Sooke. Once you get into Sooke continue along West Coast Road where you will find Sooke Harbour Resort & Marina on the left-hand side. Mountain Biking Around Sooke
